Travertine

Travertine is a compact variety of Limestone formed along streams, particularly where there are waterfalls and around hot or cold springs.

Characterised by naturally occurring pitted holes and troughs in its surface, Travertine often has these tiny holes filled with grout to produce a smooth finish. When pure, Travertine is white, but like other natural stone, can take on a variety of warm hues and colours due to impurities such as clay and sand.

Good quality Travertine is hard wearing and a great disguise for dirt! So a fantastic stone for heavy duty areas.
