Terms & Conditions
Goods can only be released to non-account customers on full payment of invoice. For account customers, Boniti retains full title of the goods until we receive full settlement of invoice.
Please remember that samples are intended as a guide only. Due to the nature of natural stone, colours can and do vary from batch to batch and we cannot guarantee colour and shades.
Marble, Limestone, Applestone and Travertine are natural products and as such may contain minor blemishes and fissures. This is not an indication of fault, but an inherent characteristic of stone.
We are unable to accept returns due to any of the above mentioned natural geological variations.
It is your responsibility to check that all of the details relating to your order are correct and provide us with all relevant information relating to the enviornment in which the goods are intended to be used and for their delivery.
It is important to check your measurements carefully. An order should always include an additional 10% to allow for wastage to cover cutting, minor imperfections and breakage. If you do not order enough, subsequent Goods (due to them being a naturally occuring product) may not be exactly the same as the original Goods.
Please note the following conditions of our delivery service.
1. Please check your delivery on arrival and note any breakages on the drivers paperwork. If the goods and deemed and proven to be damaged on delivery, by the way of documentary evidence such as a photograph, we will bear the cost of re-delivery and a replacement goods.
2. The haulier will only deliver to the nearest practical point of access to the property from the road.
3. When required a tail lift or crane lift vehicle will be used for deliveries. The tail lift can only drop on to hard surfaces on level floors, i.e. concrete.
4. It is the responsibility of the client to inform us of any access limitations for delivery so a suitable vehicle can be used.
5. No responsibility whatsoever will be accepted by Boniti for any labour charges incurred due to late/delayed deliveries.
6. We will not entertain claims of breakage or shortfall that are reported more than two working days from receipt of delivery.
7. When stone is delivered, the client needs to inform Boniti within 48 hours if they are unhappy with the quality. Outside the 48 hour window, Boniti cannot accept any responsibility.
8. We reserve the right to ask for evidence of breakage reported before replacements can be sent.
9. Payment is required on placement of your order. Please note that we will not arrange delivery until we are in recepit of cleared funds.
10. There are two types of delivery available. If you wish to specify a specific date for your delivery you can do so when you place your order. However this service will be more expensive than the economy service which allows for deliveries to be made anytime within a 3 day time frame.
Also it is important to note that the driver will have come from your local depot, it is unlikely that they will have personally collected your order from us or have any specific knowledge of the product.
Each consignment will be packed within a wooden case and may weigh up to 1 tonne in weight. The driver will ask you to sign for receipt of the pallet. Please check all deliveries on receipt, for damages or shortages. These must be reported immediately.
The lorry will be fitted with a ‘tail lift’ and will carry a small manual fork lift with which to manoeuvre pallets from the lorrie’s tail lift, to the ground. If there is help on site and the ground is firm and level they may be able to move the pallets a short distance to a convenient storage space. If not they will leave them at the nearest possible ‘accessible’ point of access. The fork lift will not be able to manoeuvre over any soft ground, up any steps or through any narrow gates.
If you are unavailable on the day of delivery we would strongly advise arranging delivery dates to coincide with builders / fitters being present on site who can help oversee the drop off or move the stone to a suitable place if required. Pallets will be off-loaded at the nearest accessible point to the delivery address at the discretion of the driver, which maybe the kerbside. The driver will not handle the goods. If there is no-one to sign for the goods and take delivery or access problems which we were not informed about you will be liable for re-delivery charges.
If you feel there may be any problems with access to your property, for example: long narrow tracks, or restricted turning, then please make us aware of this when placing your order as this may affect your delivery.
Sealants, Adhesive & Grouts
Naturally all stone needs to be fixed, grouted and sealed correctly. We can supply market leading brands of these products suitable for the majority of situations and stones we sell. These can be delivered with your order or collected (by appointment) from the warehouse. Please call the office on: 01225 892200 for further details.
Other Information
Please note the following information needs to be taken into account when choosing natural slate and stone floor tiles.
Tumbled & Aged stone will have surface and edge imperfections due to the manufacturing process, this is considered a characteristic and not a fault.
Sealers and impregnators will only work effectively if maintained using the specific cleaners recommended by the manufacturer. The use of household cleaners will strip the sealer/impregnator leaving the floor open to possible staining. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to maintain the floor in the correct way using the correct cleaners. Please ask for further details.
Payment
Full payment or a deposit is required on placement of your order. Please note that we will not arrange a delivery until we are in receipt of cleared funds.
We reserve the right to adjust prices with notice at any time prior to delivery/collection to reflect an increase in cost due to foreign exchange fluctuations, freight increases or material increase.
All prices are quoted in pounds (£) sterling.
All prices exclude VAT at the current rate.
