Delivery
Deliveries will take place 5 working days after any outstanding balance on your order has been paid, unless otherwise agreed. To help us be prompt and cost effective we will deliver your order through a national pallet line service. Effectively this is a group of companies, which provide a delivery network across the whole country, so you do not have to wait until the next time we are in your area.
It is important to note that the driver will have come from your local depot, it is unlikely that they will have personally collected your order from us or have any specific knowledge of the product. Each consignment will be packed within a wooden case and may weigh up to 1 ton in weight. The driver will ask you to sign for receipt of the pallet.
The delivery lorry will be fitted with a ‘tail lift’ and will carry a small manual fork lift with which to manoeuvre pallets from the tail lift to the ground. If there is help on site and the ground is firm and level they may be able to move the pallets a short distance to a convenient storage space. If not they will leave them at the nearest possible ‘accessible’ point of access. The fork lift will not be able to manoeuvre over any soft ground, up any steps or through any narrow gates.
If you are unavailable on the day of delivery we would strongly advise arranging delivery dates to coincide with builders / fitters being present on site who can help oversee the drop off or move the stone to a suitable place if required.
If you feel there may be any problems with access, for example: long narrow tracks to your house, then please make us aware of this when placing your order as this may affect your delivery.
